The Story
Fazenda Samambaia Anaerobic Natural stands out amidst the cool, green hills of Sul de Minas, Brazil, where the ideal conditions create some of the country's finest coffee. This special coffee is sourced through SanCoffee and Mercanta and marks the first of the year from Henrique Dias Cambraia. Known locally as ‘Vertentes,’ the region lies between the Grande River Basin and the São Francisco River Basin, allowing for the cultivation of exceptional Yellow Bourbon beans.
Henrique is passionate about producing high-quality coffee while maintaining socially responsible and environmentally sustainable farming practices. With over a decade of technical guidance from agronomist Dr. Josué Pereira de Figueiredo—who has been recognized as a finalist in the Cup of Excellence—Henrique stays at the forefront of coffee innovation. His involvement with the Association of the Coffee Producers of Southern Minas Gerais ensures that Fazenda Samambaia continuously embraces new technologies. For this unique lot, carefully harvested cherries undergo anaerobic fermentation, resulting in a rich flavor profile that reflects both the land and the dedication behind its production.
