brew box cold brew whisky sour Recipe
When brewing iced coffee on the Aeropress, we tend to use a **1:16 ratio** of coffee to water and ice.
For this recipe, we'll use 16g of coffee, 128g of water and 128g of ice.
A note about your coffee: beans that are naturally processed tend to taste delicious as iced coffees - the natural process of the coffee really sings when made this way!
What you’ll need
- Aeropress or Aeropress Go
- Aeropress filter papers
- A pitcher with at least 500ml capacity
- Scales
Method
1. Grind your coffee a bit finer than you would for a normal brew.
2. Heat water to 92C.
3. Preheat your Aeropress and rinse the filter. Do **not** preheat your pitcher.
4. Put 128g of ice in the pitcher.
5. Start your brew by adding 128g of water into the brewing chamber and give it a good stir.
6. After 1 minute, plunge your Aeropress into your pitcher.
7. By the end of your brew, all the ice in your pitcher should have melted. If it is not all melted, you can decrease the amount of ice in future brews.
8. Serve in a cool glass with ice. Enjoy!
